Q: What is the minimum age to play laser tag?
A: The official minimum age is 8, but if you have younger kids and can accompany them for the duration of your games, they may be allowed to play though it is best you contact us first.
Q: What is the maximum age to play laser tag?
A: There is no maximum age, as long as you’re healthy and fit; you should be fine to play.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfy clothing and closed toe shoes. No flip flops or high heels allowed.
Q: Does laser tag hurt?
A: The lasers we use do not hurt and will not do any damage to your body or eyes.
Q: How many teams can there be in one game of laser tag?
A: Currently we can have a maximum of 3 teams.
Q: Will you teach us how to play?
A: Before every groups first game of laser tag, we hold a briefing that teaches everyone how to play, what the rules are and all safety precautions that need to be taken.
Q: Do I need to book?
A: Birthday parties must make bookings and for all other groups we highly suggest making a booking, especially if you want to come in on the weekend. We can get incredibly busy during our peak periods, and as much as we hate turning people away, sometimes we have to, so book ahead to avoid disappointment!
Q: When can I make a booking for groups over the age of 13?
A: The only times you cannot making bookings for groups over the age of 13, is Saturdays and Sundays 12:00pm-6:00pm.
Q: Can I have my 18th, 21st, Bucks/Hens night, etc at Darkzone?
A: Of course you can! Have a look at our Private Functions page for more info.
Q: What happens to my deposit if I need to change or cancel my booking?
A: Deposits can be transferred to new bookings, but not refunded. Please check our Terms and Conditions page for more info.
Q: How many people can I have in my birthday party?
A: We have a minimum of 10 and maximum of 40 guests for birthday parties.
Q: Can I bring my own food if I’m hosting a party?
A: Yes you can, just keep in mind we are unable to re/heat any food for you. We do have fridges and freezers available for use before you head up to your party room.
Q: Do you have any gluten free options?
A: Yes we do. Please just let us know in advance if you require a GF pizza for your booking. Note: we cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination. For severe allergies or celiac, we heavily recommend bringing your own food.
Q: When do I get to use the arcades, and what is in them?
A: Between each game of laser tag, you will have a 15-minute break; this is when you will be able to use our arcades. The arcades include games such as Point Blank, Metal Slug, Daytona and Air Hockey.
Q: How much do the arcades cost to play?
A: Arcade sessions are included in every laser tag package, you will be given a card that has unlimited credits for your session.
Q: Can I buy a Darkzone voucher?
A: Yes you can, but only in-store. See one of our friendly staff at the front counter.
Q: Is the venue licensed?
A: No it’s not, there is no alcohol allowed on-premises. If you turn up intoxicated, you will be denied entry.
Q: Is there a seating area?
A: We do have a small seating area in our foyer. If you need space for your group to eat, we would suggest hiring a party room, as the public seating area is not very large.

Q: What is your refund Policy?
Darkzone requires deposits for most bookings. This deposit is to secure the timeslot and numbers for your booking. We understand that life happens, and sometimes plans change. Recognising this, if you provide us with enough notice, deposits are transferrable to another booking of any type.
For example, if you have paid a $100 deposit on a birthday party and something comes up that prevents you from making that date, just give us a call and we can usually shift the party to another date, or you can come in for some games. We will not refund a deposit within 14 days of your booking start time unless there are exceptional circumstances.
We’ll always be fair and reasonable when it comes to managing these sorts of issues. That being said, we do have to put staff on for sessions and bookings. If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking start time we reserve the right to refuse a transfer of the deposit. This is to cover the costs associated with scheduling staff and the loss of income.
There are only a few circumstances where we will provide a refund. For example, in the unlikely event that our system goes down and you are unable to play, we would issue a refund, or a discount on another session should you choose. We don’t issue refunds for service issues; however, we are more than happy to have a conversation to sort any issues that do arise.
